Continuing on the success of her debut album, Real Life Situations, Kedash is sparing no punches and has worked with an A-List selection of South Florida producers to ensure that she delivers an album that will earn her a top spot in Hip-Hop’s future hall of fame. This album is packed with a good selection of radio friendly, up-tempo, club hits that combine great lyrical prowess set to ingeniously produced music. Debonair Music in conjunction with Smack-Aya-Face Productions was hired on to produce most of the music for this album. Debonair Music have produced tracks for a number of major label artists including Trick Daddy, Sharissa, No Good, and Spragga Benz among others. Kedash has also teamed up with Kinsu on a new step song that will appeal to a large demographic and be a DJ must have. This one will own the clubs for the next quarter. Kedash has a hit single on her hands with this one.

Kedash was exposed to singing at the early age of 7 and her father recognized at that time that she had a rare gift. He then started taking her to his studio to watch him record and arrange his music. Kedash's father Carter Cornileus gained musical fame in his own right with the group The Cornileus Brothers and Sister Rose. Some of their more successful songs include Treat Her Like a Lady and Too Late to Turn Back Now, which went to number 3 and number 2 respectively on the billboard charts. With such a musical legacy to follow, the stakes were high and you had to step up to the bar if you wanted to be a singer in the Cornileus household.

A the age of 10 Kedash’s father died and her mom was left alone to raise her and the other 7 children by herself. Kedash’s was exposed to the streets, wild parties and nightclubs during her early teens. This led her to experiment with delicate relationships with the opposite sex that resulted in some very hard and emotionally draining partnerships. Not having fully developed the true concept of love and having been emotionally manipulated by a love interest into believing she had found true love and then having that relationship be revealed as a lie resulted in lots of emotional scars. Having to fend off other females competing for the object of her emotional desire resulted in lots of schoolyard fights. This is the rich emotional reservoir that Kedash draws from for some of her more moving love songs. The re-released song Love Can Be Funny Sometimes wraps this scenario up quite beautifully and is truly evident by the fact that this song refuses to go away and has remained the favorite of the majority of Kedash’s fans since the song was first released over 5 years ago. The song was first written way back when Kedash was in high school and the memories of love’s emotional roller-coaster were fresh in her heart.

When Kedash was 12 she recorded her first background vocals. She said she was so afraid at the time thinking that she would mess up and waist those people's studio time. However, Kedash reports that everything went great and that she even got paid a little money for her work. A lot of studios started calling her after that to do background vocals for various artists. She says that it was a great feeling and that at that time she felt that she could be successful as a singer.

During these tender years Kedash’s own unique musical style was forming. Kedash reports that she would listen to and study various artists such as Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu and Whitney Houston. People would tell her that she sounds like various artists throughout the years but then at about the age of sixteen, her very own, unique vocal style had emerged. You can clearly witness the growth of Kedash’s songwriting and vocal maturity in the release of her second album Tasty.
